Abstract
- The article focuses on the education and special needs of blind-deaf children. There are several communication systems to be used in communicating with the blind-deaf which include speech and vibration, finger spelling, gestures, sign language and with the use of a machine. It is required to use real things and situations when building language and experience for the blind-deaf child. Like, in teaching the child about the mail, it is appropriate to have him buy paper, envelopes and stamps and instruct him to write a letter. Before educating a blind-deaf child, it is necessary to ensure that his needs have been properly evaluated.
