Abstract

The article focuses on Military Sealift Command (MSC) ships. These ships are used to move defense cargo and offer critical maritime support to all components of the United States Department of Defense and other government agencies. MSC operates approximately 120 noncombatant, civilian-crewed ships daily. Based on the data, MSC has delivered more than 79 million square feet of dry cargo and more than 7. 8 billion gallons of fuel for United States and allied warfighters in the field and at sea in support of the global war on terrorism.
