- The article focuses on the life and works of Giorgio La Pira, anticommunist mayor of Florence, Italy. He was a professor of Roman law at Florence University. It was his saintliness attitude that enabled him in the municipal elections of June 10, 1951. La Pira is close to the poor people in Florence.
