Abstract: The article reports on the weather in the U.S. in September 2005. Hurricane Rita had caused property damages across Texas and Louisiana. The average temperature in California was recorded as 57°F. According to the Storm Prediction Center, there were a total of 131 tornadoes in the country with 86 of them attributed to Hurricane Rita.
