Abstract

This article focuses on the growth and development of the city of Detroit, Michigan. For those interested in shopping. Detroit has a great deal to offer. There are numerous malls and chain stores in and around the area, but there are also some great apparel shops that are well worth the adventure. There is one part of downtown near Greektown, Comerica Park and Ford Field, which are the most important shopping centers. A Detroit institution, Serman's carries an astounding array of the finest suits, pants, jeans, shoes and other designer fare for men and a bit for women. Another Detroit institution is the Broadway, one of downtown's renowned men's apparel stores. When it comes to eclectic cuisine, Detroit has it going on. There are so many great places to dine offering everything from soul food to Italian, Greek, Thai, Japanese, Barbecue, Mediterranean, Mexican and more. The entertainment lineup highlights some of the nation's most talented artists, and folks come from all over to hear them perform in this sophisticated downtown atmosphere.
