Abstract

The article discusses a study in the United States which aimed to help low-income women achieve personal goals related to the consumption of produce. Vegetable and fruit consumption were studied in three groups, namely the control group where women received life-skills lessons, the education group which received food and nutrition lessons and the contract group which had food and nutrition lessons and had completed a contract for change.
