Abstract

This article provides information on a test which compared the graphics performance of a dual-card graphics setup with a single-card versions. For the mainstream boards assessment, nVidia's GeForce 6600 GT was tested and for the power graphics comparison, the GeForce 7800 GTX was used. The single-card 7800 GTX rendered 78 frames per second (fps) at a resolution of 1024 by 768, while the dual-card setup reaches 76 fps. However, at a resolution of 1600 by 1200, the dual-card posted 69 fps versus 58 fps of the single-card setup. It was proven that the dual-card configuration bettered the single-card option at both resolutions.
