Abstract
- The article focuses on assessing medical competence. One way of looking at assessment is to see it as a measurement of medical competence. One could then regard examinations as diagnostic tools. If one lab test is really off the scale it is assumed that there is something wrong with the patient. The diagnosis of medical incompetence can be made only on the basis of various methods. Failures in comprehension may hamper or confuse, even though many of the underlying concepts in education and medicine are the same.
