Abstract: The article presents information on Mordechai Vanunu who revealed details of Israel's nuclear weapons program to Great Britain's newspaper Sunday Times in 1986. The former nuclear technician was sentenced to 18 years in prison. The government continues to hold him in Israel against his will, denying him his freedom to speak to reporters as well as his right to travel. Vanunu is a passionate supporter of the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, which Israel has refused to sign. Recalling his years in prison, Vanunu described the intense psychological cruelty to which he was subjected.
