Imprints are not footprints.

The article cites a study which determined that the age of the rocks containing important imprints near Puebla, Mexico are 1.3 million years old. This study refutes a former study which concluded that humans populated the Americans 30,000 years earlier than previously believed. The researchers performed various dating methods on sediments covering the imprints.
