Évaluation du risque de récidive au sein d'une population de délinquants incarcérés ou internés en Belgique francophone

Abstract: This study assesses the convergent and predictive validities of the Psychopathy Checklist-Revised (PCL-R), the Violence Risk Appraisal Guide (VRAG) and the Historical-Clinical-and Risk management (HCR-20). The Population was composed of inmates or forensic patients coming from either high security prisons or a forensic hospital. The three instruments were highly correlated (>0.70), sharing a large common variance. The ROC (Receiver Operating Characteristics), survival curves analyses and correlation coefficients suggested that the PCL-R, the VRAG and the HCR-20 presented a moderate predictive validity both for general and violent recidivism.
