Abstract: The article provides several amendments that may help good debtors cope up with the problems regarding the payment of debts. The new Chandler Bankruptcy Act reflects more consideration for well-intentioned debtors and contains the Wage Earner's Amortization Amendment. This amendment provides that the bankrupt can arrange to amortize his personal bills over a period of time through a referee.
