Abstract
- The article modifies Susan Haack's foundherentist position on foundationalism and coherentism to present a feasible model for the justification of religious belief. Foundherentism is a theory of justification which is supposed to include the virtues of both a foundationalist and coherentist epistemology without their respective vices. The plausibility of a cognitive voluntarist conception of belief is argued upon. There is some virtue in coherentism which ought to be salvaged and incorporated into the theory of justification.
