Abstract

The article discusses smiling styles particular to nations. The American smile bares only the top teeth while the English smile reveals both the top and bottom teeth, making the smiler look defensive. Psychology professor Dacher Keltner is able to predict with accuracy the nationality of a mouth by the type of smile it is making.
