Abstract: The article focuses on the Dieppe Raid in 1942 which provided some essential information that about five pounds was added to the weight of each Commando due to absorption of moisture from fog and mist. Special invasion raincoats are being made of paper for the Channel crossing of the Commando. The need for civilian paper conservation is vital for the military as new military uses for paper have been developed in World War II.
