Abstract
- The article discusses the manufacturing strategies, application and technology of flat-panel displays (FPD). The thin-film liquid-crystal display is a very specific technology that comprises an electronic backplane and an electro-optical frontplane. This technology combination results in an application, which is a transmissive electronic display. Worldwide FPD revenue is expected to increase in 2006.
