Abstract
- Burkart (1952) cited six species of Inga Miller for Argentina: I. marginata Willd., I. virescens Benth., I. affinis D. C., I. urugüensis Hook. f. et Arn., I. saltensis Burkart and doubtfully I. edulis C.Martius. As consequence of the present study, I. saltensis is transferred from the Sect. Pseudinga to the Sect. Inga (= Euinga Benth.) because of its mature legume. The presence of I. edulis var. parviflora is confirmed, not I. edulis var. edulis. Descriptions, illustrations, observations, keys to the species and maps of geographical distribution are given. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
