Abstract
- This article provides background information on the history of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Charlottetown ranks as one of Canada's smallest cities in the country's tiniest province, Prince Edward Island. The British settlement of Charlotte Town, named for Queen Charlotte dates back to 1763, but in 2005 the city celebrates 150 years since its 1855 incorporation.
