Regional Comparison of Financial Marketization Degree via Grey Target Approaching Analysis.

The financial marketization degree directly relates to the level of financial efficiency and financial development. This paper selects six provinces which respectively represent East China, South China and Central China. Then compare their financial marketization degree via grey target approaching analysis. Based on analytic results, the paper lists the order and obtained the fluctuation tendency of six provinces from 1998-2002. The research shows that obvious disparity exist in China's different regions: Eastern region has a higher financial marketization degree and quicker financial development; Central region is rising continuously; Western region has the lowest financial marketization degree.
