This article reports on the increase in the prices of pulp and paper chemicals in the market. Engelhard has announced price increases for kaolin-based pigments, effective October 15, 2005. These include Engelhard's Hydrous ASP brand products used in specialty chemical markets, by $20/ton. Satintone and Ultrex brand calcined grades, $30/ton and Translink brand surface-treated grades, $34/ton.
