Abstract
- This article reports that timing is emerging as the key element in the British government's deliberations about providing investment cash for the Airbus A350 to the industry. According to industry officials and lobbyists in London, senior ministers are trying to ensure that high-value civil aircraft wing design and manufacture remains in Great Britain, without antagonizing Washington any more than necessary. It is opined that any hesitation on the part of the British government to provide financial backing for the A350 would create an opportunity for one of the other Airbus partner nations to wrest the wing work from Great Britain.
