Abstract

The article discusses two recent trends in the study of early Greek philosophy, focusing on the works of Joshua Billings and Benjamin Folit-Weinberg. Billings explores how classical Athenian tragedy, particularly the plays of Aeschylus, Sophocles, and Euripides, can be seen as philosophical texts. On the other hand, Folit-Weinberg delves into Parmenides' use of road imagery in his deductive argumentation. Additionally, the article touches on Picot's work on Empedocles and Most's book on the Derveni papyrus, providing insights into the study of ancient Greek philosophy. [Extracted from the article]
