Abstract

Focuses on ways to develop Wi-Fi wireless technology that can keep up with increasing traffic due to increasing popularity. Security issues inherent in current Wi-Fi technology, with signals that can easily be intercepted; Explanation of the functioning of Wi-Fi networks, which are comprised of Wi-Fi equipped computers or cell phones and access points that communicate by radio and wire and provides access to the Internet; Adoption of the IEEE 802.11 standard so that all Wi-Fi equipment is compatible; Obstacles that Wi-Fi network designers hope to overcome, including slow speeds and long delays, insufficient coverage in user areas and lack of security.
