Abstract

Quality of life is an important question, topic, but also an object of investigation in today's increasingly complex times. Everyone perceives and feels it differently, and it often becomes the subject of political struggle, but also a poorly understood concept. This area is very complex and is a combination of both objectively given factors and subjective perception. However, as part of its investigation, minorities in the form of segregated population groups suffering from social inclusion are often not taken into account. Exactly this case in the Slovak Republic represents the Roma ethnicity belonging to the marginalized Roma community. The declared quality of life of the marginalized Roma community does not reach the level of the majority. The aim of the paper is to identify the phenomena causing the deterioration of the quality of life and their impact on the Roma population in our conditions, and the possibilities of their solution and improwement.
