Abstract
- The paper considers the possibility of using metallurgical slag, previously used for filling the slopes with a road embankment, as a component of concrete for its dense packaging. The slag was crushed in a disintegrator — with different impact energies of 17, 34, and 51 kJ/kg. A finely dispersed material has been obtained, the size distribution of polydisperse particles of which is suitable for planning dense packaging according to the Funk-Dinger equation. During mechanochemical grinding, the particles of the metallurgical slag used are highly active and are collected into agglomerates during the grinding process. Polycarboxylate plasticizer has been successfully used as a grinding intensifier. The increase in the specific surface area was up to 8 times. It is shown that the polydisperse powder of crushed slag obtained at minimal energy costs (E = 17 kJ/kg) is a ready-made basis for the formation of a future composite cement material.
