The Biblical Perspective of the Soul in the Context of the Ancient Near East.

The present study proposes an incursion into Old Testament anthropology, which it places in the context of its theological interferences with Mesopotamian mythology. This approach could contribute to the understanding of the biblical account of creation, which, beyond its undeniable uniqueness and value, bears similarities with Mesopotamian cosmogonies, as a proof that the unique truth revealed by God and received by each people was articulated differently by the peoples of the Near East, according to their culture and capacity of reception.
