Abstract
- This article claims to analyze Cartas a Uma Negra (1978), written by the Martinican Françoise Ega, which consists of the identification between life stories and epistolary dialogue idealized with the Brazilian writer Carolina Maria de Jesus (Quarto de Despejo), starting from the structural definition of intersectionality as a reference for investigation and reflections on domestic work as an instrument of power relations, inferiorization and domination of black Antillean domestic workers, in France in the 1960s. The results obtained consist of the observation of the weight's similarity of the discriminatory and exclusionary processes that afflict black women in different parts of the world. The construction of this research was carried out through research and bibliographical review whose purpose, through feminist literary criticism, applying in this study the work of authors dedicated to intersectional studies, such as, among others, Akotirene (2019), Collins and Bilge (2020), Crenshaw (2019) and Davis (2016).
