Abstract

Corporate sustainability is an important aspect in nationally and internationally economic sector. Companies must promote not only environmental sustainability also economic and financial sustainability that allows them to develop their activities correctly and generate benefits for their stakeholders. The objective of this study was to determine the relationship between the circular business model and the sustainability of the manufacturing sector in the Tungurahua province. A quantitative investigation was carried out and Tau b de Kendall was applied to achieve this objective. The main results show that there is a relatively low correlation between business sustainability and the application of circular business models. In general, corporate sustainability is a factor that should be highly considered within any type of organization due to its contribution in the development and fulfillment of business objectives [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
