Abstract
- The article discusses the work of Boris Mirkine-Guetzévitch, a Russian émigré international law scholar, and his analysis of Russia's counter-revolutionary international law in response to the French Revolution. Mirkine-Guetzévitch's lecture at the Hague Academy in 1928 explores how Russia resisted the new revolutionary international law and developed a distinct approach. The article highlights the historical relevance of understanding Russia's reaction to the French Revolution and its implications for contemporary Russian approaches to international law and foreign policy.
