Abstract
- The article proposes addressing cases of child sex abuse from the point of view of survivors. It discusses victims' delayed disclosure of their experience of abuse, the failings of mandatory reporting system, and services offered by Firecracker Foundation to children healing from sexual abuse. It attributes the failure of the legal system in its pursuit of justice for child sexual abuse victims to punitive laws and reaction, social stigma, and conflation of punishment with healing.
