Abstract

This paper discusses the indicators of international container terminal selection. This topic is important sincethe competition between container terminals is rising. Due to this, the survival of ports is directly impacted. The methodutilized are Analytical Hierarchy Process and Technique for Order of Preferences by Similarity to Ideal Solution. A questionnaire is conducted to the respondents, which are experts within the shipping line industry. The results shows that the 3 main criteria that influence the selection of international container terminal trade activities and sources of goods, total operation cost and the sufficient draft. With a score of 0.590797, 0.447593, and 0.386169 respectively. The TOPSIS is carried to show which of the international container terminal is ranked the highest according to the criteria. The results show Terminal A to be the highest with a value of more than 60%. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
