Abstract
- This article presents guidelines for designing program for worker safety on construction sites. A holistic approach of designing for the entire life cycle of a building is recommended, including the construction process. Effectively addressing construction safety issues means the designer must consciously assess the implications of each construction phase on safety as the facility is being built. In addition, it is suggested to conduct a thorough risk assessment of each design component.
