Abstract

In comparison to traditional English short video teaching, wireless network virtualization presents a new mode of teacher-student interaction, offers students a unique learning environment, and enhances the realism of classroom teaching. This paper examines the efficacy of VR scenario teaching and short video teaching in the context of an English course at a school in Shanghai. The results demonstrate that students in the VR situational teaching group showed significant improvement in vocabulary judgment, complementary dialogue, and Chinese-English translation, achieving passing rates of 43 and 100% respectively. The use of virtual reality technology to create a realistic classroom environment greatly enhanced students' interest in learning and improved the effectiveness of classroom teaching. As educational informatization trends towards virtualization and intellectualization, the integration of virtual reality technology in the education process holds great significance for the modernization of secondary education in China.
