Abstract

Reports that a proposed metabolite of an estrogen found in hormone-replacement therapy could be the cause of some cancers. Mention of the unusual DNA adducts formed when scientists mixed one proposed metabolite of equilenin, 4-hydroxyequilenin, with DNA in a test tube.
