Abstract
- The article explores the orientation-dependent electrochemical response of LaSrNiO4 (LSNO) epitaxial films by investigating the influence of growth orientation on electrochemical reactions. The study reveals that the resistance of (100)-oriented LSNO films can be modulated significantly by electrochemical reactions, while the resistance of (001)-oriented films remains largely unaffected. The results suggest that oxygen vacancies are produced in the NiO2 layer of LSNO during electrochemical reactions, with diffusion of oxygen ions occurring preferentially within the NiO2 layer.
