Abstract

The article revisits the concept of universal salvation, examining contemporary theological perspectives that question the traditional belief in eternal damnation. Topics include annihilationism, which suggests that the damned will be destroyed rather than eternally tormented; apocatastasis, the idea of universal restoration and salvation, including the Devil; and Pope Benedict XVI's reflections on salvation, Hell, and the evolving Catholic understanding of the afterlife.
