Abstract
- The article shows that Christopher Franklin's No Opportunity Argument fails and argues that it puts requirements on the ability to do otherwise that have nothing to do with determinism. Topics discussed include the Possibility Principle, the idea of the No Possibility Argument, Humean reductionism, problems of non-fundamentality and crowding out, indeterminism and free will tailored for the No Opportunity Argument, and timing of actions and abilities as loopholes of the No Opportunity Argument.
