Abstract

The correction notice addresses data errors in a study on the impact of wind speed on voting decisions, specifically in elections that feature prevention-focused and promotion-focused options. The errors affected the magnitude of estimates but did not change the primary research conclusion. Wind speed was found to influence voting decisions only when there was a regulatory focus distinction, with a statistically meaningful effect in favor of prevention-oriented campaigns. The study's findings remained consistent after corrections were made, and additional robustness checks were conducted to verify the results. [Extracted from the article]
