Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has boosted the use of e-grocery significantly in recent years. However, older adults have been slow to adopt this new approach to grocery shopping, and this segment has received relatively less attention in literature. To fill this gap, this research investigates how trust and risk factors influence e-grocery adoption among older adults. The study surveyed 280 older adults using a quantitative survey questionnaire. The collected data was analyzed using regression analysis. The findings found the trust, performance risk and time risk play an important role in e-grocery use intention, while financial risk does not. The results enable businesses to design effective strategies to overcome the risks and barriers that older adults are most concerned with. Policymakers can also develop effective policies promoting e-grocery adoption among older adults, improving their quality of life and autonomy. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
