Vampires: Outside Life, Outside Control.

The article examines vampires as "outsiders" using critical theorist Michel Foucault's concepts of biopolitics and governmentality to analyze their portrayal in over 30 Anglophone films. Topics include the vampire's relationship with history, the regulation of behavior within governance, and the role of screenwriting practices in shaping the genre.
