Abstract

The article discusses a rare case of a quadricuspid mitral valve in a 60-year-old woman with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, hypothyroidism, and paroxysmal atrial fibrillation. The patient experienced an ICD shock due to transient rapid atrial rate, leading to radiofrequency AF ablation as treatment. The patient also had obstructive hypertrophy, an accessory papillary muscle, and systolic anterior motion of the anterior mitral leaflet. After ablation procedures, the patient was discharged with adjusted medication. [Extracted from the article]
