Abstract
- Underpinned by health belief model and service recovery theory, this paper investigates the role of workplace health measures (WHMs) in hotel activity recovery (i.e. service recovery performance and financial performance). This paper also explores the mediation roles of perceived self-efficacy (PSE), perceived well-being (PWB), and internal service quality (ISQ). Multilevel data was collected from 766 respondents at the individual level and 532 respondents at the organizational level in Egyptian five-star hotels. WarpPLS findings show that WHMs significantly affect PSE and PWB. Moreover, PSE, PWB, and ISQ were partially mediated. Lastly, this paper's theoretical and practical implications in the hotel context are discussed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
