Abstract

A 16-year-old girl with acute promyelocytic leukaemia developed QT prolongation while undergoing treatment with cytarabine, daunorubicin, mitoxantrone, and pirarubicin. She had a history of congenital long QT syndrome and was previously treated with mexiletine and nadolol. The QT prolongation was attributed to the anthracycline drugs used in her treatment, but her QT interval returned to baseline after three days. Despite this complication, she achieved complete remission and was on intermittent maintenance therapy with tretinoin at the time of discharge. [Extracted from the article]
