Abstract
- The article discusses a pilot trial investigating the impact of vitamin D on glycaemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes. The study compared the effects of vitamin D-rich food, sun exposure, and commercial supplements on glycaemic control. Results showed that dietary intervention was most effective in increasing serum vitamin D levels, while both diet and supplement groups saw significant reductions in HbA1c levels. Sun exposure group showed benefits in blood lipid profiles. The study suggests that diet and vitamin D supplements can improve glycaemic control in type 2 diabetes patients.
