Abstract
- AbstractA thermomechanical problem is formulated for a bimetallic plate subjected to induction heating by a nonstationary electromagnetic field. As the object of the study, a plate with layers made of stainless steel and copper is selected. The stress intensities in the constituent layers of the plate are numerically analyzed on its external surfaces and at the contact interface of the constituent layers. The analysis is conducted based on the amplitude-frequency characteristics and the duration of the nonstationary electromagnetic action. The research is carried out for two cases of electromagnetic carrier wave frequencies including those equal to the first resonance frequency and those extending outside the resonance frequency range of the electromagnetic field.
