Abstract
- An 81-year-old woman developed melanosis coli while being treated with senna-alexandrina for constipation. She had a history of hypertension, constipation, and was undergoing haemodialysis due to renal failure. After a colonoscopy revealed melanosis coli, she underwent colon polypectomy, but the condition persisted until senna-alexandrina was discontinued and she was treated with polyethylene-glycol. Seven years later, the melanosis coli completely resolved. [Extracted from the article]
