Abstract

The article explores the relationship between the dual platelet-inhibited ROTEM Sigma FIBTEM assay and Clauss fibrinogen levels during postpartum hemorrhage. The study found a stronger correlation between FIBTEM A5 and Clauss fibrinogen in the dual platelet-inhibited assay compared to the single platelet-inhibited assay. The research suggests that the enhanced platelet inhibition in the dual assay makes it more dependent on fibrinogen, leading to more accurate results. The study highlights the importance of updating point-of-care devices and reagents to evaluate their impact in different clinical settings. [Extracted from the article]
