Abstract
- Thymoma is a relatively uncommon thoracic solid tumor, and considered to possess malignant potential. Usually, the lung, pleura, and mediastinum are the most frequently affected sites for metastasis in thymoma. However, the thymoma presenting simultaneous intrathoracic and extrathoracic metastases are exceedingly rare. Herein, we present an exceptionally uncommon case of invasive thymoma with multiple metastases. Furthermore, our case underscores the indispensable role of multimodality imaging in confirming the primary diagnosis and guiding treatment decisions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
