In the novels Fiesta en la madriguera (2010) and Toda la soledad del centro de la Tierra (2019) by Juan Pablo Villalobos and Luis Jorge Boone, child protagonists emphasize their animality and the vulnerability inscribed in their bodies, beyond their specific orphanhood condition, invoking the value of reciprocity and dependence in the name of the anthropological condition of every human being.
