Abstract
- This article aims to analyze teacher-researchers’ representations and practices about what they consider educational research in a higher education center specialized in early teacher training. For this purpose, the historical process that has consolidated the subfield of educational research and the different positions that structure its debate in Latin America was briefly reconstructed. The methodology included semi-structured interviews and a survey to articulate information from teacher-researchers in four dimensions related to educational research (theoretical, didactic-formative, methodological, and ethical). The results show tensions and disputes that emerge from the history and social structure of the educational intellectual field, which are explained as a structural homology within the subfield of educational research.
